Walk this Way?

Buttoned up, tucked in, colour in the lines
Regulate, legislate, walk when told or fines
Line up, sign up – pay attention to the signs
Misery likes company – still conformity defines

Overseas we fight for “freedom” – at home we’re led like sheep
Listen to your body – forget it, alarms will end your sleep
Your call is important – a message left when heard the beep
The price that’s charged to run an ad, can talk really be called cheap?

Fashion police – designer tags, haircuts and “real jobs”
Stray from this narrow path you then are “freaks and slobs”
End hate – house the poor, perhaps could save a tree
This is not “productive” – nine to five then shopping spree!

If daily life seems to you, to be nothing but a grind
That is why they call it work - allow me to remind
For those who follow spirit, they’ll find themselves maligned
“Virtuous” join the rat race – once your dead, you can unwind!
