Once I embraced life’s ebb and flow
Soon became apparent – just what is so
That change is constant – I certainly now know
For peace, relax – go with the flow
Go ahead make plans and start with a goal
Plan for the future – release control
Strong winds of change – those rigid broke
Best to bend like willow – than stand “firm” like oak
In win/lose thinking – holes this does poke
Its many disciples will all cry “Joke”
Universal laws – be free from a man – made yoke
My aim, your thoughts hoped to provoke
In the moment – acceptance is the key
To resist is futile – you may just see
As the song once said “what will be – will be”
Try for yourself – should you first not agree
Freedom I’ve found has always matched
Expectations not present – stay unattached
If results seem lacking from your regime
Stop pushing the river – instead float downstream
